As an offshoot of the traditional Salon, the term is used loosely as a loan word to signify a semi-regular gathering of creative minded art and literary enthusiasts.
Curated by @apokrify and @cerenoir, both artists unified by a shared appreciation for the genres of the late 19th and early 20th centuries and a desire to explore exciting alternatives to the somewhat sterile “white box” gallery show.
The Salon will take place ahead of this years Frieze week and is an opportunity to celebrate local talent: @thirrrsst , Fayez Ahdab, @cerenoir, @jenniferberkowitz, @rossdcallahan, @everything_kills_2.0, @samopaints, @meganjorgenson, @paashamotamedi, @fadi.masad, @crooked.rib , @sinclairvicisitud, @thewalruscatalogue, @emilyutne, @foroozan_shirghani, @shrineon, @gloriagemsanchez Natalia Szaniawski, @nicoshea_, @angleponce, @seven_ruck_, @spencer_shap, @vascodelrey, @unitedstatesgovernmentofficial, @zinniveshi, @ollievalentineartist, @tarazorthian, @erinn.mp4, @thealexandrayvette and @apokrify.

The Salon is multifaceted and includes live performance, you can expect: burlesque by “the sweetest star in Hollywood” Honeybaby @ryanhoneybaby, musical performance by French Jazz Vocalist Elene Dee @elene.dee, guest illustrations by Alexandra Yvette @thealexandrayvette, and a DJ set by Sarper Gokbulut @garden.of.earthly.delightss to close out the night.
There is no dress code but we are going for a “dark cabaret” 1920’s theme this Salon so dress accordingly if you would like! (We would love it).
Follow @findesiecle.art for more information and updates on what else will be in store.
We hope to see you there!
