A Proposed 4th World
March 25 through May 6
Torrance Art Museum
3320 Civic Center Dr, Torrance, CA 90503
Kalashnikovv and Wonzimer Gallery are proud to collaborate on the next edition of Co/Lab at the Torrance Art Museum. With the exhibition ”A Proposed 4th World” the galleries explore the parallels within the artists they exhibit and merge their curatorial ideas to form an exhibition that transcends their physical distance and in turn fuses their sense of aesthetics. In turn, they propose a new Social structure.
Kalashnikovv Gallery is a contemporary fine art gallery and project space which is dedicated to providing a platform to both emerging and established South African artists. Kalashnikovv challenges the conventions of the art gallery in its manifestation, conduct and motivation. Convention has made art a pastime of the elite. Kalashnikovv aims to re-imagine traditional art world structures through transparency and innovation. To foster the creative journey of our artists and enrich the quality of public experience in our field.
Wönzimer Gallery emanates a lively energy that is cultivated through professional leadership and a genuine love of innovation and diversity. Wönzimer, which means living room in German, is a place where everyone is welcome. These ideals are indeed the foundations upon which Wönzimer thrives and lives. It is precisely this interest that has given Wönzimer its magic, as well as a living history of joyful, spontaneous interactions that it has inspired between extraordinary individuals from all walks of life.
